Cakes & Ale in Decatur is known for its simple, unpretentious menu focused on local seasonal produce (much of which comes from the Allin’s home garden), sustainably and humanely raised meats and seafood, and a passion for community and the environment.  Join Chef Allin as he demonstrates recipes that showcase his talent for using peak season vegetables and a homey farm-to-table style that has put Cakes & Ale on the national culinary map. Net proceeds from the class will be donated to the “Decatur Farm to School” program. Farm to School programs aim to source local, fresh, & nutritious foods; provide educational opportunities for students about food choices and about where their food comes from; and help to reinvigorate local economies.
